Hibiscus Hime
Deeply in love with Nature.
Not the polished, convenient version, but Nature in her full, untamed glory, the delicate petal that survives the storm, the quiet intelligence behind every bloom, every curve, every cycle.
Nature does not need to be improved upon. Only observed truly.
Hibiscus Hime began from this fascination.
A tomato reaching its fullness in summer. A wind that changes the colour of an afternoon. A flower opening at precisely the right moment. A flavour with nothing left to add or take away.
The hibiscus hime publication is a seasonal mook. Each issue moves through a different place, viewed through a Japanese sensibility of seasonality and attentiveness, rooted in the Netherlands.
"What can be shown, cannot be said."
So I'll stop here.
